Fish Roker 7am - 2pm today hoping to add to my species list, plenty of small stuff from the off Coalies,Dab,Flounder and small Codling,
finally caught a species to add to my tally by landing a Shore Rockling before landing a first for me at first I thought it was a Tompot
Blennie something I had caught quite a few of on my trips to Wales and a bloody big one at 21cm and 6oz

on returning home to check I found the British Record is only 5oz 8dr,
I was then informed it was not a Tompot but a Yarrell's Blennie by a very
good source and informed the record stands at 3oz 1dr ,anyhow it went back
in to the bay at Roker one way or another there's a British Record in there.

Are you guys targeting these little fish? I never seem to catch any despite fishing the same marks lol. Took me untill this winter to catch my first rockling in about 15yrs!
