Fished the Pier for the fist time in over a year.
Four of us fished the Roundhead 1.30 to 6.45pm and it was dire to say the least. I had a small Tommy right away and then nothing till 5.45pm.
The lads also only had 2 small Fish between them.
Then I decided to add a load of Bluey to the Black Lug & instantly had a bite resulting in a Codling just short of 2lb. The next 30 minutes saw a few good Tings for us & then went dead again.
We decided to sack it at 6.45pm. It had rained fine stuff all day & we were well soaked. It even went through our Clothing in places so we were well disappointed.
There was one highlight to the day though. The people from the Noodle Bar near the Pier, came along with a big Carton of piping hot Noodles & handed them out to us. What a lovely gesture and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed them. Yes it was a bit of good Marketing I guess, but they trailed along that pier in the Rain & gave us all a lovely treat. I wish them well in their Venture, they deserve it.
