Eastpier - I felt sorry for you when mainly BigPhil and some others where I felt, bullying you. I did not think you where actively trying to wind people up...but you cant deny its a bit over the top now like. I see what you mean with the tongue in cheek thread but Sunderland fans are never going to take something like this lightly are they.
Your making a lot of enemies! Might get pushed off your east pier by the mackems!! :D

As for Kayos, I disagreed with his comments about our lads as I think most did but dont think he "forgot" remembrance Sunday...in fact I think he posted some nice pictures of his local remembrance service. He usually has a good cent or two to add to discussions.

Threads like this have the potential for mods to say f**k it, lets remove non-fishing chat, too much bother...
It could happen you know and I enjoy the off-topic forum parts.
Especially on a fishing forum when I currently cant go fishing!

Lets Hope They Do - What a load of Crap - Its a FISHING FORUM.
 
To be honest I like the banter on this forum and even the close rivalry between the two sets of fans.

But surely those who are hurling abuse at Eastpierlad must realise by doing so you are fufilling his aim by getting wound up in the first place :o

Seems pretty obvious to me for what it is worth.
 
the solution is very similar to that of fishing, when your not getting bites, you pack in . something that may work on this occasion . food for thought.

You're right safetyman, just supposed to be a bit of footy banter, some get it and have a laugh, others get their knickers in a knot for very little , I didn't think it was offensive , just giving Sunderland and their fans a bit of coco for being bottom of the league, nothing they didn't give us after they beat us in the derby!

Reading the last post seems like reg wants to bury me in his garden:eek:

As a Boro fan and as such impartial to the Mags Vs Mackems rivalry, I enjoy and laugh at most of the football banter on here.
I didn't read anything malicious in eastpierlad's post although he's clearly after a reaction which is generally supplied by the bucket load, he's just having a laugh at Sunderland's unfortunate position in the league. I'd have thought if the tables were turned he'd get the same **** back, whether he'd be able to take it is a different matter but to be fair it may be a few years before he's gonna have to worry on that score. Howay lads, no need to take offence, you're just gonna have to suck it up.

I am red & white always have been and always will be, Sunderland are struggling at the moment and it is clear we face a massive fight for survival it is a fight that most MAGS hope we loose, why? because MAGS are brought up to see the Makems as their enemies, and we feel the same way about you MAGS (as far as football goes). I do have good mates who support Newcastle but they know I hate to see them win, and yes I do wish they were in our present position and that is why I have to accept the sh###y posts from the likes of your good self. I am still hopeful of securing survival and I feel we can take another three points off the MAGS to help us in our quest for survival.

I suspect you'll be right on both counts. In fact, I'd bet the 3 points that ensure survival will be off us next spring

I disagree with your assertion that all mags see mackems as there enemies. Most of this is just friendly rivalry.

I am black and white and what I want mostly for north east football is success in whatever form that is. Not just the big two but those in lower divisions as well. I hate to see the London teams doing well as that is all the pundits crow on about on the telly.

If you want to see true football rivalry visit Merseyside. I used to look after a site in Liverpool and the fans there hated the Man U fans with a passion. When you talk to them about the rivalry you realise they are not joking either - pure hatred.

Just ignore eastpier je feeds off your replys he loves it....his life is so boring and dull ..he roams from forum to forum causing trouble and unrest between site members...his only mission in life is to wind other site users up untill they finally crack and end up getting banned.....so my advice is not to even reply to any of his threads... it beggars belief how sad he is
