Makkies. Been in about 3 days already sick off hearing about them roll on the big seas north easterly winds and the cold white stuff only 87 more days till october

Agree with all of that m8. Out on a Boat tonight, at the very least i might just get enough Macks to avoid any more fishing from the bloody Piers this year.
Thats the only reason i do boats lol 2 maybe 3 a year just enough makkie to freeze for the winter

Similar feelings here, except it usually kicks off the back end of august around Seaton Sluice or Whitley Pipe, and given the right conditions Whitley beach is often at it's best in september (can be more or less over by october!) - so for me it's about 45 days & counting....just hope the crabbing improves rapidly so I can get my winter stock done!

I enjoy my summer fishing as much as the winter but I've got to agree Phil the mackerel frenzy is a pita.
