I used one of them for quite a while, it does the job, caught plenty of fish with it! Ive still got mine, im gonna keep it for a bit of maki bashing in the summer.

Aye, Ron Thompson gear gets a bit of a bad press at times but I have some and have never had any bother with it, I have an EVO Rod and an Axelerator which have both given me excellent service.
