Room prices at rugby world cup

A friend with tickets for the Scotland v South Africa game in Newcastle next October called me to ask about caravan park prices, as he had been quoted over £650 for 2 rooms for 2 nights!!

I looked up the parks and sent him a link. They had bronze caravans for 3 nights, so a night extra, for £129, to gold caravans for £201. The caravans are lovely, have all the facilities that hotel rooms don't and are about 30 minutes or so from Newcastle. Savings of between £450 and £520.

He phones me tonight - his rugby club pals refuse to stay in a caravan, so they booked the hotel.

They can have my 3 bedroom house for two nights, I'll even fill the fridge with beer, for £649.99. :D

We'll go down to Feathers :D
 
Looks like Vern Cotton has instilled some attacking bite into the Scotland team, 11 tries in three games is unheard of over the last few years. Looks like we might be competitive in the six nations this time around. Another Southern Hemisphere coach doing the business!

Still wouldn't pay the crazy prices for world cup tickets mind! :)

£50 for mine mark....cheapest ticket for St James park.

gonna try to see if i can 'volunteer' for the nz game. volunteered at commonwealth games rugby before ..met so many superstars plus best seats in the house, all for 2 hours ushering work before the game :)
