Rubber factory aka Frasier's 28-03-2001

Just a quick 3 hour session down the rubber factory today had 4 fish 2 codling 2 coalie. Something interesting here used a 2 hook rig today and 1 hook loaded with 2 lug second hook had 2 rag. The codling only took lug and the coalies only took rag just thought i would share that if people are looking to target different species anyways was a canny 3 hours my friend had 1 codling on lug nothing huge but it beats work here are some pic's.

LOL sorry on the date ha ha. Them leads are being sold at Lewis tackle £1 a pop they have a few boxes of them quality lead but don't use imps with them because they work far to well the water does not hit the clip on the imp because the way the lead hits the water.

got told these leads are ment to improve the distance you can cast..

did you gain any extra yards using them

Emptied my spool every chuck found they traveled much better in the air than a normal spider basically it felt like i was casting a 6 ounce bomb with no rig attached best way to describe it.

if you come thro later in week best bring your rod got some metal turned for them.

nice report been a few yrs since been on there thought you couldnt get on there now.

had fish to 3lb there fishing with fresh crab daylight in may a great mark for the spring codling.were you fishing were the building overhangs you a little bit.
if its were i used to fish and still can i am going to have a few sessions there very soon with fresh crab.

I have fished Frasier's for years you can get over via a fence that has had the spikes bent down you don't get any bother because of the fence just the odd young un asking advice and you can always bag a fish or 2 if nowhere else is fishing and when the spring run of cod gets here peeler is the best bait there had some cracking fish there m8.

always produced fish for me there ferry landing used to be good also on a sunday morning as ferries not running but cctv cameras there now apparently no one dares go on.

you can get on smiths dock on a night the security guard is spot on just have a bit banter tell him you will leave no litter etc and he lets you fish cracking spot to the far left right next to the ferry landing just don't make no noise as there is private residence there now and they might complain but i have had no bother there had some good sessions but because i didn't want to make any flashes i have no pictures.

Been using imps on them all the time - can't say I've ever had one not release. They do cast nice though, gets the bait right behind the sinker & no wobble.

I was using an impact guard my friend was using an imp with a pully rig he had 3 none releases as soon as he swapped over to a normal lead he had no problems might of been his rig build but i will give it a go my self and let you no.

Frasers had its moments also my best catch from there was 7lb cod its gut was full of prawns overspill from a boat that had been off loading its catch at the fish quay.

Parking is fine you can park right next to the fence were you climb over and can see you car at all times unless you go round the corner but in all the sessions i have fished there we have never had an issue with cars being broken in to etc
