Rubber factory aka Frasier's 28-03-2001

Just thought i would share this in the last 2 years i have been going some other anglers and i have been leaving each other our unwanted bait. There is a ledge that you can sit on and we normally just leave a bag or 2 of rag if we are not going to use it. Every time we go down there is normally a nice little pile of rag or lug for you it is so handy if you have limited money but who ever the other anglers are they no the score because its always in the same place and we always leave ours there. The area is not open to public so i would not advise doing this anywhere else as us anglers already have a bad enough name with the litter louts :)

Hi Parky, can you fish there during the day or is it a night spot only things have changed a lot since i was down the fish quay.
Nice of you to leave spare bait for others, i always give mine away if any spare hate to see it go to waste.

Yeah you can fish there thru the day, we've had a couple of saturdays there in the last month and we were pulling in codling (mostly undersized), coalies, whiting and flatties from 10 am thru till dark.
Mate was there Saturday gone and a one point he was pullin in three fish a cast.
Just don't stop reeling in once you start, cos its very snaggy close in

Thanks for your reply Flux, yea i know how snaggy it is it used to be one of my favorite spots,:) the ferry landing was the best place when the tide was right. Maybe see you there sometime.:)

good thread and good gestures leaving bait.

can anyone remember a lad who used to fish with one arm on the fish quay,he was very keen and could put a bait out a long way and certainly could catch cod.

does this lad still fish . john
