hi all!
by chance today i found a very good tackle shop while working in sunderland! rutherfords tackle shop which i didnt even know exsited until today(im from newcastle) is a very well stocked shop indeed with anything you could imagin! hope the shop keeper has a gud day fishing tomorrow because he was worried about the weather!! thank you rutherfords you brightened up a otherwise horrible day!!

Rutherfords is a brute of a tackle shop. It's like the tardis. And Andy really knows his stuff, anything you need to know call in and ask!

never been in myself but always here good things from everyone, as i live in north shields i tend to stick to north of the river for baits etc or for rig making gear. may have a trip over one day.

Been going there for years and always what you ask for its there and he will help you no end. If he has/nt got what you want he will go out of his way to get it and i have always been satisfied with whatever i have bought there and his prices are pretty reasonable

Always laugh or smile when a go inside Rutherford's, its like the opposite of Doctor Who's Tardis, looks big outside, then you go in and theres not much space, but its like Aladdin's cave, gear in every space available!

The simple reason that Rutherfords have been in business for 30 years is the attitude of the man behind the counter. To survive in any business you have to know what you are doing.....end of.

hi lads!
yes an aladdins cave indeed! very nice bloke too! but i would imagin more than 3 people in there at one time and the doors would come off!
i love shops like that its like arkwrights but without the stutter
dont like the bigger comercial stores they have no sole to them but this one had it all!

Yer, great shop. I don't use it much like but when I've been in he's had everything I've asked for. Proper Aladdin's cave and the guy's real hospitable.

very nice bloke andy,and hes a good angler aswell,wins plenty comps and had plenty fish,and he doesnt have to go far to get them cos he knows the marks everywhere ,always liked him

as already said you dont stay in business for 30 year unless you know what your doing,ive know Andy for most of that time and not only is he a very good businessman hes a good angler and a good mate that will always help if he can ...
