Had 3hrs down Shields but as expected the water was brown as coffee and the coalie had vanished off shore.

After a hard 3hrs casting out with out a great deal to show (hoping for mackerel) i ended up with 2 small coalie and on the little rod just over 100 launce.

Tides are right for me all this week sow ill be given it a bash again..fingers crossed.

I should add that after chatting with a mate that fishes Shields just about every high tide from may until September said he has seen 1 mackerel caught on bait and none on lures.

So the reports of them pulling in 2-5 at a time last sunday and monday are poow from shields as he fished both days and had a walk along with the dog in the morning tides...maybe from roker but not shields
