Had 2 hrs down shields after work with the spinning rod today.
The sea was getting right up with waves crashing over Tynemouth pier witht he 15mph NE winds but i managed my first shore caught mackerel of the year, only 2 but it took 3 trips of trying
..total catch 2 mackerel and 1 sandeel.
The dregger is working the mouth of the Tyne now, right in between the two piers and the water was like hot choc, loads of pipe fish,hag fish,dabs and other fish dead on the surface befre the birds spotted them and made use of the crushed fish.
