s.shields pier 28.06.09

had a canny sesh today, fished from 9am - 4pm with some mates at the end casting towards n.shields pier near the small wall, got 6 between us all undersize flatties and codling but good sport anyway, i lost a good fish rite at the pier wall (about 4lbs cod) fished with fresh crab and rag.
Mackie still not in in any great numbers but there was a fair few taken mainly on daylites

We where there from 6ish until about 9.30 ,near the end trying to catch a few Launce for Pike bait , I take it you'd just set up as we left .

Aye probably mate, got to the end about 9.10am, so you were still there i reckon

eddie t: there was 12 rods fishing the end iirc, loads of mackie bashers in between the blocks and the end and a few lads bait fishing from the blocks down to the first gate


hopefully i'll get out a bit more and post up a few more sesh's, anyway cheers lads

fished yesterday from 8am till 10am and took 34 sand eels.. kept them for bait, few coalies caught just under the 1lb mark all returned,.. no mackeral, reports of 6 caught from 5am onwards...
