Lol. I was warned about the asians on the pier Mackerel fishing by the dozen from a tackle shop, going to steer well away during popular times.

its not just the chinese that have no idea about fishing its when the bashers turn up with there cans /drugs piss artists total nighmare.
these people are only out to kill as many fish as they can, thats not fish for the table or even sport .

the security staff have a direct line for the police, phone the coppers let them deal with the people that are or trying to climb around the gate .

I look forward to roker & shields pier been open again ,I started to fish there when I was twenty one now 79 and times it hard going to walk along with my gear, but once I get there its nice to be out fishing for a few hours, both pier is very good for disabled lads to go fishing

Its the same on blyth pier,

Last season o was there with my girlfriend and one lad was kicking off with us, fishing to close lol on the end everyone is very close to each other at peak times.. geezer was on all sorts.

For that reason I stopped going on blyth pier.and I go to craster behind the castle.. always fish there and no bother from anyone.
