Thinking about giving it a bash tomorrow night from about 7, fishing the ebb. Since I\'ve only fished it about 3 times in my life, any clues where to go?

Fished Pier last night 7.30-12.30. Had 20+ whiting from the rail end. Kept 3 inc 1 of 2lb 3oz. Lug/rag/squid strip.
The rail end is about 150yds past the first gate, seaward side where the rubble is on the inside. You don\'t need a long cast, 70-80yds should do.
Couple a people come from the end said there was little doing other than whiting so you could save yourself a long walk.

i read your post and fished the rail end in our comp tonight
i came second with
21 whitings for 11lb 9 oz
that puts me second behind stevie elliott

Ended up on a mark south of the wear (Can\'t advertise - you don\'t know who\'s watching ) Got half a dozen small whiting, nothing else. Apparently there were good bags of codling over the weekend from the same mark, so roll on the next big seas!

yes there were a few decent whitings
a lot bigger than the ones on roker
