6 FA Cup wins ( but last was 1955 )
1 European Trophy - Fairs Cup(UEFA) 1969 (last trophy)

so Newcastle 11 major trophies, but ages ago!!

Sunderland 6 league titles (but last was 1936)
2 FA Cups ( but last was 1973 )

so Sunderland 8 major trophies.

Sunderland fans could argue that they last won a big trophy less time ago (a whole 4 years difference), and more league titles.....

but not a sniff in europe, and less trophies overall, Newcastle have also in recent years finished runners up in the premier league, fa cup, qualified for europe, and finished above sunderland in the prem more often, slightly bigger ground, so pretty fair to say Newcastle are the biggest club.

no mention of how many relegations from the premiership? records for lowest points scored, goals conceded etc etc

bottom line is, both are mediocre and destined to be so for years and years to come bar an occasional flourish. Anyone who thinks other wise is deluded!

players was booked ?? and tiote was sent off 5 mins after that foot up challenge on ameobi into his chest
that resulted in a non booking off the sunderland player

honest facts is both teams are loyalyyty supported yet both will never win nowt [ well not unless we both get lucky ] as both have shown in the past 40 yrs I SAY 40 COZ LEEDS MULLERED SUNDERLAND IN 1973 yet they was lucky enough that day to win the cup

The kids had one today, got some stick in the bar later. Honest mistakes but no millions of pounds deciding it so soon forgotten. million cameras make it easy, but if you're getting £70k+ you'd expect a half decent try

embarrassment, that is what the smb fans were, they made a noise at kick off, you think they had won the cup when tiote got sent off for about 10 seconds, sang 1 song for 30 seconds , made a noise when they equalized. that was it

Proper joke, all smb's should be ashamed, we out sung you in your stadium, in a derby game? unforgivable.

In truth newcastle aren't playing well at all,but we have better player's in every position, Europe makes it difficult with a smallish squad, and 5under1and, well avoiding relegation has to be the aim, for the small club from a small town in durham.

I dislike them even more now, they are a disgrace, did i mention the empty seats ???unreal

you are a bit of a plumb to be fair, 300 tickets not sold? everyone knows that is just silly, they could have sold 15,000 tickets, they are rarer than a home derby win for 5under1and.....

That'll of been the 2 rows of seats at the front of the away fans left empty for obvious reasons. Apparently our lot were P'ing in bottles and throwing them down at the Wonga Arena last season, not clever at all.

Aye Keith they were, women & kids sitting there as well, not the brightest thing to do, BIGPHIL would probably have joined in like judging by his posts....

The empty seats I saw were to the right of where we were, and sporadically placed around the stadium, not thousands , but empty none the less.

Think that was reported in the papers but apparently it was actually rolled up paper, although there was a seat came flying down from the away fans but that mustn't of been worth reporting.

I honestly never saw the seat being thrown,( cowardly and stupid, I would stand toe to toe with anyone, but I couldn't throw an object into a crowd). I also didn't see the paperballs / golfballs.

Thought it was rather tame actually, nothing like the atmosphere at S.J.P

(our stadium has never been the wonga stadium by the way)

s.j.p has always been a lively stadium as has the stadium of light to say it was quite is a joke and i dont throw stuff at players just dirty mag fans
