Safe nite fishing marks

you could try Cambois at the bottom of the ramp, 2 hrs b4 low and 2 hrs up, did this a wk past fri., an got loads of bites, an 1 cod @ 39cm, walk from the ramp straight 4ward, cast straight out, gud luck:):)

You could try High Shore which is beside Royal Quays Marina. Its nice and safe with railings and he should be able to catch a variety of fish without having to cast far. :)

are you wanting to fish over clean beaches or do you not mind losing some gear over rocks?

whitley beach as been fishing, as mentioned above.

hartley skeer may be worth a shot for you.
head north past the caravan park at whitley bay, at the next roundabout, take a right, past the delaval arms pub. head down the small road and park in the car park at the bottom. head along the path towards st. marys lighthouse, 250yds after the carpark you will see some steps, head down those steps. onto the beach at the bottom, walk to your left, you have a long flat skeer there, fish half way up and cast towards st.marys lighthouse.
you dont need a big cast, just make sure that you fish a couple of hrs down and up.
it is safe, even when there is a big sea running, and is shelterd when the wind is from the west ;D

normally a few fish kicking about at night, chance of a pig kicking about as well.

lug, mussel and crab are good baits ;D

no big rocks to climb, not too slippey, nice and flat.
dont need to cast far and not to snaggy.

you can also fish the bottom of the steps at high water ;D

I feel with the ramp at Cambois getting the lead up the rocks at the front of it might be a problem with a 7 years old

Hi ya Lowrider, as a said fish @ 2hrs b4 low an you are on the beach, its canny safe for a young kid, straight onto the beach an straight forward, and its canny lit up behind you, ya nah wot a mean m8,.
Hello Pottsy:D:D:D, a was top @ geography @ in ma school days:cool: but a nah ye canna win wiv a woman av got 3 in ma hoose !!!( oh! the hormones, thank the Lord for fishing);)

treachorous set of holes 20 yards in front of the ramp at the moment - some over knee deep on an adult...the tide on the ebb creates a bit of a torrent for about 40 yards along the front of the ramp before it dissipates by the skeers and add the darkness factor could be a bit tricky IMO at the moment

(I was there on thurs night)

I'll take a look 2morro morn @ low tide(Cambios ramp), I'm only 10 mins away, I'll give an update in afta noon, mite even have a few casts 2morro nite.;)

got to be careful on that ramp at camnbois, i lost a mate there many years ago.

i cut my teeth on local rocks marks with the old man when i was a nipper.
some of them are safe as houses, other you need to take with extreme caution.

anywhere will do as long as you / he gets a fish of some kind. always good to get somthing on your first session during the night ;D

wansbeck mate high tide, tonnes of small coalies and flatties, crabs also:D a think at his age anything brought in will be a great experiance for him;):D safe anda nice quiet place
