saltburn pier.

fished saltburn pier (cleveland) yesterday 11am till 8pm, cupple of kids had 2 postage stamp sized flounder and nice sized edible crab, a guy turned up bout 2 hours after high water and bagged a size flounder. i got 2 decent sized mackerel both on cork at fair range no one else caught, my mate wasnt happy lol, looked like was goin to be a fish less session but ended ok.

theres never any huge amount of macky off saltburn bout 20 each is considered good, i had bout 40 in cupple of hours cupple weeks ago,sunday gone was only the 2 that had caught n that was it, there seemed to be alot of macky bout 200 yrds off pier seen bout 5 or 6 big boils with gulls terns and gulliemots attacking it, can only assume it was macky chasing up the sprats.
