does anyone no where i can get sand eels from as the shops ive tried dont have any. any info and phone numbers would be great thanks.

I got some from Rutherfords on Roker Avenue on Tuesday. He had all sizes.

For some bizzare reason ive never considered sand eels as a bait to buy,i always tend to go for crab worm mussel squid etc,reallystupid of me really,how good are they actually.

I don't tend to use them around here much as I have never had much success. My mate used to use them on Blyth beach for Codling and he did well, don't know why they never worked for me.

I use them when float fishing or spinning for Pollack when we go to SW Scotland a very good bait for that.
