Sandmans tackle time sonik gravity surf review (new kid on the block) + blenny hill v

a lad has just told me something about this rod, theres a good chance the rod is a colmics rod but with sonik logos on as sonik says it was built in colmics factory and if you look around the range of the colmics rods you will see they are all around the same price range.

A Colmics ?? does that make Sonik better or worse? They sell rods made in a crap factory to sell to anglers then after years of this they change to a good factory (maybe a Colmics factory if your source is correct) put there name on the rods and sell to anglers for around the same price as Colmics we know this happens Woodsy and Rutherford have been doing this for years with Century blanks putting there own spin on them then putting there logo on but they don't charge the same as Century do do they?.

I bought a Greys fly rod a few years ago and was disappointed to see it was made in China. For some reason I assumed they were all made in Alnwick. I rang the company up and they explained that the cheaper end fly rod blanks were all from China that is why the prices were held down. Only the very expensive type were made local.

Exactly right enduro it's took sonik goodness knows how long to rectify a ongoing problem with there snapoflex range, ring problems ect.
Totally agree with all those anglers that have spent hard earned cash to here they've changed manufactures due to quality,as I say I've never ever owned a sonik nor never will, would rather buy minter off the forums, cause with £300 notes you will get a quality piece of kit that will last.

All you gotta do is snap the one you have. They'll replace it but probably with one of the new ones if the old one is out of stock/production.

ive owned a sonik sks lasted me a 1 year then the top section exploded into 3 bits toonboy probs still has pic lol, but mind you i loved it for casting and bite detection, thats why i have another in my collection:) this one ive tossed leads like mad and not even flickered so must just of been a bad batch. hope the new ones live up to it and dont snap and i love mine up the river.

My old model SK4 snapped and i was told they didn't have have anymore tip sections left as they now have the new SK4 out and i could have one of these for another £100 ! No Thanks.
