Evening all been to have look at a sandsend cliffs today thinking of heading over there for bit fishing anyone got any tips and info on best times to fish and best area to fish cheers

hi mate

me and the lads fish the cliffs nearly every Saturday in the winter, we tend to head for bernies ledge first fish 3 hours up then move over to the rabbit hole to fish 3 hours down,

we fished it around 3 weeks ago and had a canny night, jase got a nice 4lb cod and i was just picking up the 1 lbers,

tackle, i use a 6 and bait with a fathom 25 loaded with Berkeley xts 45lb, the other lads use penn 535 loaded with the same line,

you dont need to cast far as its rough ground close in, we have lost a few nice fish from pulling them up the cliff face,
baits we use are blacks, muss, squid, cart, blow lug, razor, all on pully rigs 4/0+

as i said before we go up every saturday night in the winter so if you want to join us your more than welcome, i live in stockton

I thought "top of the world" was a bit further south mate, where the two points stick out. Did I get the wrong mark ?

i might be wrong but im sure the top of the world is in the middle or bernies and rabbit

Hi thanks for reply,s I've bought a transit camper for these fishing trips can I park in the car park over night.

Yes u can camp in the car park there's always a few camper vans near the steps,
