got a caravan booked for bank holiday weekend the wife said im allowed to take me fishing gear were is the best marks up there high water or low water and whats the best bait to use cheers mick

thats nice of the wife mate, allowing you to do a spot of fishing:D

best shot will prob be in the wansbeck at mo mate for flattys and coalies or try mouth area and along the beach area might pick up some schoolies.

in wansbeck rag and mackerel norm do the trick or a bit of crab in the bay area can pick out the odd eel

goodluck mate:)

what about the tide mate whens the best cheers mick

for fishing the wansbeck couple hrs either side of high tide mate depending on size of tide, it emtys out at low water.

have a shot along sandy bay beach on the flood aswell mate with a bit rag on.

chance of seatrout in mouth aswell prob at moment, heard of them taking rag:confused: true

As mentioned in the bay itself on the high tide or around the corner on the beach in the surf. Watch the channel that runs into the bay - very strong current there. Rag and mackeral for the flatties.

Got a load of small school bass off the beach around the river mouth this time last year, rag baits. One of my favourite marks, happy fishing.
