[catch a cod]

Was out with peter on sunday,had a cracking day with plenty of cod to 8lb but the action really started on the last wreck of the day.We hit the wreck twice with nothing showing and peter said one more drop and then we go back.I put on some mackrel feathers to take a few fresh ones home dropped them down and bang this is not a mackie.At the same time every angler on the boat was shouting am in.Four lads fishing next to me had never boat fished before and one got a 14 pounder then his mate topped that with an 18 pounder.Peter said right were not leaving here now and everyone was buzzing.I had to show the young lad next to me how to set up to fish with a shad and he pulled in 2 ten pounders and also lost two monsters one snapped the hook in half on his ron thompson shad and he lost another one when the knot he tied on his top swivell gave.Big thanks to peter for letting us carry on fishing,it was 7pm when we got back in and we should have been back for 5.Was a bit frustrated when there were so many doubles and the biggest i got was 8lb but it was a great day for everyone.Roll on saturday when im back out on sapphire,cheers gary.

that's a good days fishing Gary that's how it goes sometimes iv stood next to lads and fished it ---s off and iv getting nowt tuff i guess but well done to the skipper for staying pity you have no pictures

Top bloke peter is! Thats the type of bloke he is, not in it just for the money but always tries his best to give everyone on board best days fishing possible, cudnt ask for anything more in a skipper, well done on ur cod to 8lb still nice size fish mate im bk out with peter in 3 weeks, cnt wait
