set off 7.30am full boat,a little bit foggy and the water looked like tea without milk untill about 3 and a half mile out,sea was just about flat, did wrecks all day a lot of ling caught some about 5lbs and a lot undersize ,there was about about 7 cod biggest prob just over 4lbs,think biggest fish of the day was a ling of about 10 lbs, also a belter pollack of just under 6 lbs nearly pulled the lil lad in lol :p ,he got that on sandeel,
i got 1 pouting 2 codling all returned as only about 1lb and a half each.losts S%$T loads of gear :( , for me had a slow day but a enjoyable one as the company was good and so was the weather and the sea state

think bigroppa might be adding a few pics as he took some

Glad you enjoyed your day.
I have to say my best trip to-date was out at Scarbrough. It was the 3 hour tourist trips. Cost a tenner,I took my cod stuff and caught three lovely cod. I put a cod of pound an half back and also a Ling of about a pound..
Funny when you think all the hours i put in on Maggie May with not as much to show. And costing £27. Still the boat is top notch.

PS Why is it my cod i catch tastes ten times better than the stuff you buy.

Mick.

Yer it was a nice day out, just a shame the big fish never came out to play. Never caught so many small 2-4lb ling before, 2 a drift sometimes.

Anyway just hope the settled weather holds well into september.

Nice to meet you lot again.
