Sunday was the start of the boat season for me after having 5 trips canceled so far. alan headed out to some rough ground which felt like forever to get to. Fishing was slow for the first couple hours with only 3 monster mackeral in me bucket. A quick steam to meet up with the old Sarah soon changed that fishing was frantic for a good couple hours with at least 40 fish pulled in by me alone ended up with 16 cod to take home and all the coal fish went back. And to Top the day off my mates bag of 30 fish split at the Top of the ramp getting off the boat poor ******* didnt have a spare either Hahaha

good job he wasn't half way up the ramp, he wouldn't of had any fish to take back either

Alan used to pick up and drop off at North Shields fish quay. Seen a few bags of fish lost as they were hauled up to the quayside on a low tide just for the bag to cave in and the contents dispatched into the water, if you were lucky enough some may of landed back onboard saving at least some of your catch. Used to hate coming back on a low or worse a spring tide getting up those steps bloody nightmare Craster was the same and probably still is, Mick Dunn will have the answer?
Oh Happy Days.

Funny how only a few weeks ago there were very few fish on the wrecks, now some of them are "lifting".:) Good report m8. There's a lesson for everyone, get builders rubble bags for hoisting fish up.:D:D
