alright lads, going out on my 1st boat trip tomorrow as most of you probably know lol, i aint got a clue if i get sea sick or no so i guess ill find out in the morning when im on the boat. ill post a catch report and tons of photos tonight, also below is a picture of the selection of jigs, lures etc... that ive bought, all in all, all of that must of came to around £25 for the lot. i think im spoilt for choice, dont you?

Yer looks fine, orange is my fav colour for the cod and you seem to have a few glow in the dark lures that are good.

Keep it CHEAP, keep it SIMPLE, keep it STRONG and you will do fine.

From the looks of the weather it will be a fast drift with wind and tide in the same direction for most of the day so pirks, lead heads would eb my choice.

Move onto large baited rigs or baited daylights with out a pirk when the drift slows down, lots of large ling moving around at slack water looking for a easy meal.

Failing that it mackerel bashing all day...On the mackerel front...if you do go mackerel bashing alot...try nott o tangle the other lads up much as mackerel will swim into all the lines of the lads wreck fishing..

Good luck mate - even if you end up catching 3 ton of macky it'll be better than sitting in the house or at work

All being well i,m out tomorrow at Hartlepool on the Maggie May. I,ve read the info on here and as a result popped into AMH angling at Annfield Plain and bought some 50 pound breaking strain line. I was just going to leave the 18 lb line on my abu 7000 which is on already. But what if something big latches on. If there is 35lb cod about the wrecks it would be stupid to leave on my 18 pound line. Anyway the 50 lb stuffs on now. Bought some more pirks. I,ve got loads of lures etc. Plenty of lead, (even tied some together with elastic). I got a load of sinkers given not so long back (but thats another story).

Hope all goes well. If it does i,ll be scouting around on the forum for trips out. I will of course pay my way.

went out on the boat this morning ,hartlepool got just past the heugh and there was huge swells about 10-12ft coming in ,we turned back and called it a day ,better safe than sorry

we didnt get out, the swell was 2 big, 10ft swells man lol, anyway i didnt get sea sick which was good, a little bit gutted tht we didnt fish but i should get out on monday
