heading out on saturday afternoon for a few hours session dont know if i will try roker pier or shields pier or any of the beach marks any suggestions cheers!!

well i was out on lynemouth beach last night to the right of the pipe (report to follow) with my mate and we had a belting night. fished from 6-10.30pm (low water 7.30pm 1.7m tide). my mate had 5 flounders (1 sizeable) 7 coalies (all undersize) a codling and a rockling (undersize) and a nice a school bass about 1.75lbs. I only managed 1 codling about 2.5lbs (but was happy enough with it) . admitedly not big fish but great sport and just nice to be getting constant bites along with a few fish!
baits were lug and rag (lug seemed to have the edge) fished on size 1 hooks on 2 hook flapper rigs. all fish came from no further than 50yards from the shore! a lot closer at times! there were 3 lads next to us fishing further out and they had nothing.
hope this is of some help.

Thanks dave sounds like a belting night might give one of the beaches ago as there seems to have been quite a few bass caught just in the surf!

Just goes to show you do not always have to belt the bait a long way out. Someone once told me behind the third breaker for bass.
