With the Scottish referendum coming up will we need a passport to fish St abbs or a visa to go to eyemouth for a bag of chips if kayos come here for boat fishing will he be able to fish in our 12 mile limit

If they change from the pound i know my days of boat fishing in Scotland will be at an end, wont be changing money over for a 1 or 2 day trip and thats the only time i ever go to Scotland.

The Scottish waters will soon be plundedred by foriegn trawlers if the Scotts vote yes. Currently, they have their own fisheries protection vessels backed up by the Royal Navy but if it's a yes vote that back up will not be available.
Their small fisheries protection fleet will be stretched and very hard pressed to keep the foriegn trawlers in check.

All I want to know is when the rest of the UK are getting their vote whether Scotland can stay within the UK or not(depending on the referendum result).Only fair in my opinion as Scotland are having their vote, why can't the UK have theirs?

If the British government decided Scotland could not use the pound as currency if thy became independent from the UK

What would they call their new currency ?

Yeah the oil and gas will be an issue... Problem is the whole infrastructure was paid for by British government so they won't let it go for free. They might even re-build hadrians wall and have the T.A. Marching up and down doing the border checks haha.

Your forgetting Scotland's biggest export......people,

We will have to repatriate most of them as Scotland will not be in the EU,

And therefore any any foreign nationals from Scotland will not be entitled work in this country or have any access to any benefits from our welfare system...

Alex salmond wants his cake and to eat. Wants independence, but wants to keep the pound, as by that it will give Scotland free access to one of the worlds largest financial centres - London, wants automatic entitlement to EU qualification, wants to keep the military and naval infrastructure, wants scottish workers to be automatically entitled to work in england, still wants Scotland to be entitled to use major ports for import/export but free from any duty, wants England to pay for and administer vehicle licensing for Scots vehicles.. thats just for starters

its an awfy long list!

don't think the English should necessarily have a say in the independence vote - but some of the rest, like keeping the pound, reckon we should have a say on that
