Sea bass help!!!!

hi im looking to catch some sea bass i live in south shields can any one tell me any few marks which i could try and when the baest time would be

Ian, 2 mates who fish the steetly in H'pool have told me that if you fish just behind the breakers with ragworm you can pick them up there.
 
fishing off the steetly not off the beach, left side of the steetly and just behind the breakers. not sure wether its low water/high water etc ill try find out tomorrow for ya
 
i would try places out side shields but i dont drive so limited to were i can go unless a m8 or some offers to take me with them who i know

PS Bass anglers will get upset if you use the phrase 'Sea Bass'.... that's what Gordon Ramsay and all yanks call them. To us, they are Bass :)
 
You can pick them up from the big beach in front of the fair (nearish to rocks) or middle of the beach. Tbh bass travel a lot but look for gulleys so best thing to do is have a look at the big beach at low water and look for the features then try and hit them from half to full tide. I've heard of some decent ones, and decent cod being caught from there but even being born and bred have only fished the beach once and got a few flatties
