Whats the sea like? is it rough? havnt been able to go down and have a look. I had a look on Longsands beach but doesnt look that rough. Would it be worth a shot off the beach for some cod?

go for it mate...the sea is steadily lifting (10ft swells at tea time expected)...it'll peak tomorrow so tonight could be a very good shout

fished roker yestaday was fairly flat but when i was coming away at 3ish it was definetly picking up but i cant see that stoping open over the weekend.

aye, I cant play out tonight either
but i'm going to practice my cast on saturday (working on a pendulum
), then fish shields beach sunday morning before it fills up with the lads fishing the open.its not flat now
im stuck at work too just counting the hours down wish i was down there now

The sea's massive. Even Newbiggin Bay is getting a big swell coming in. Tonight's the night to catch those biggies
