Fished 28/12/07 - Tried 2 marks off seaburn prom - nowt but coalie bites. Moved onto Roker beach to follow the tide down and had 5 coalies, 3 of which were stonking - about the 2lb mark. Tide pull was huge - using 7oz to keep in place. Casting at very long range once it got near bottom water. Bait used - runny, mussel, razor, rag cocktails.
Reckon I could have had a hatful if I'd moved to a boom flapper but I was seeking the elusive cod. No cod about though - water was gin clear.
