Got a text off my mate Blackrat the other day to see if I fancied few hours out on his brother in laws boat out at Seaham. Quick trip down and met up with Ian Conway and Chut (Blackrat). Boat lowered into water on the slip way at Seaham and off we went. Tried a few different rough ground marks but best place seemed to be less than a mile out. Chut got a cracking Cod on some home made rippers of about 5lb and we had a few smaller. Saw loads of sprat about the same distance out.
One youngster fishing with his dad pulled up a cracking Ling of about 8lb. His dad said it was ok to put pic on here-sorry forgot the lads name but may have been Liam.

Yeah mate that was us. Could,nt get over how friendly all the boat owners are. Stopping to talk to each other out at sea and sharing info on catch reports. Looks like Seaham Marina is the bees knees as well. Security on and nice cafes.
