Fished seaham beach Saturday night from 8pm till 2:30am had 4 undersize whiteys mainly on squid baits, plenty of nocks all night. Went again last night from 7 till 11 completely different night had 1 small flatty and another undersized whitey, no bouncing tip at all just reeled in and they were on.. Weird! Think I caught a glimpse of a fairly sizeable cod getting pulled up the promenade, not 100% though!

Maybe a cod next time!

I fished the hall on the beach off the end of the ramp with my son and brother on Saturday night, we had 5 whiting a dab and I got my 40th size codling since Sept 1st 38cm :) all went back in nee bother.
My son missed a big slack liner fishing 20 yards out using mackerel? Bass maybe?

I fished straight ahead of where you can drive the car onto the prom, were you to the left or the right? Plenty of people down saturday night! Well done on the cod! All of mine went back safe also! Seen a couple of lads pull up and release a few fish, must of been in a match last night?

To the left on the beach off the end of the prom! I saw you fishing as we left and wished you luck!

Think that's where I'll be headed for tonight to use up my leftover worm from Saturday if Roker pier is shut (which looking at the Tynemouth webcam it probably will be).

Hall beach is always packed on a weekend night this time of year. People used to spread out along the Blast and the Chems but with these being rough ground now and (the Chems anyway) a pain to get down to I think most people opt for the Hall.

Lots of people, including me, park on the prom with no issues... Best to go down in the light to decide on your best way to turn around as can be tricky in big cars
