Read on this site that you need to be a member of seaham club. They issue permits on behalf of Easington District council but i think theres a waiting list.

Not a good idea during daylight hours, due to the amount of pedestrians who use it. Night time, not to bad. Drive down onto prom with hazards on at a slow speed. Park up and fish

To legally have vehicle access to the prom you need to have applied to Durham council by way of Seaham club for a pass which starts first september to end of march,you also need to be a blue badge holder.I know most peeps just drive down on a night but there have been fines in the past .There is a limit on the number of passes ,think it is about 40.

To be able to park on Seaham Hall Prom you need to be disabled and be a Blue Badge holder. You can then apply to Durham County Council at Crook Office to apply for a permit.This permit is free and allows you to park from January 1st til the end of April and then from September 1st til the end of December. The permit has to be renewed on an annual basis and they are of limited numbers.

I always park either in the Hall car park or on the main road and have never had any bother. It's not exactly mountain climbing to get back up like St Abbs or the Purbecks in Dorset...
