I fished the hall thursday night and there wasn't much doing.Have heard that there are a lot of sandeels off the northeast coast at the minute and a couple of lads who go out in the boats have said that when they are gutting the fish ,they are stuffed full of them.

Hall Beach Friday Night

Hall Beach Friday Night

Fished the Hall beach last night. Not a thing. Hooks coming in untouched. Only lasted a couple of hours and the tinnies were calling

Unlucky Tony....I was considering the hall tomorrow to use up the bait i have left but i may take a trip over westcoast of scotland instead and see what its like over there.

I've fished there a few times with no luck ,it screams bass in spots and I've heard of some canny ones caught on the feather bed ( I think that's what they call the right hand bit :D ).

I snapped a brand new rod there as well ,not my best night fishing .

the other year there was a 9lb bass caught next to feather bed rock think pic was posted on here.

always thought it would be a good shot on a dying south easterly sea /moderate tide/ low water.

although i live local to the hall i never fish it much like.

never consistent enough for me.

however good fish come from there every year.

I know of one well into the teens last season
