For anybody who might be interested - I\'ve just put up a link to a new site specifically aimed at boat owners / anglers from the Seaham area.

You\'ll find the link to the Seaham Harbour Boat Club in the \"boat sites\" section of the weblinks.

Thanks TC. I should have looked at the posts before I posted the info!
The URL was free from globalnet so thought I might as well use it for the club. The more the merrier.
now to get back to reading the posts!
Thanks again.
PS - just updated it tonite with a few more pages and little tweaks. Its all new to me!!!!
:exclam:

No problem, Bill.

Enjoy setting up the site - it\'s great fun tweaking this and that \'til you\'re happy with the result. Then you can tweak it all again when you fancy a change....lol
I\'m sure it\'ll be popular with the boaty lads down your way......and possibly beyond.

Some fantstic wrecks just off seaham, i can see the club being very popular. Anyone know if there making it a proper docking area for boats...bit like sunderland or the tyne? the more docking spots the beter..am still living in the hope they will reduce the docking costs lol.

you can garantee it wont be much difference to all the other marinas around our coast, they all charge roughly the same, so that being the case you will be waiting along time
have you thought about trailing a boat that would be by far the cheapest option

I have thought about it Bob but then you have te problem of getting it in the water, not a great deal of ramps in our area now, but your right its alot cheaper. Also i would need to change my car as the one i have would not pull a boat.

Hows Sasha doing anyway, been down the pool since the summer ended?

My problem Rich is getting it out of the water on to a trailer. I\'m surprised there isn\'t a photo floating about somewhere as evidence with me pulling my hair out as Lisa\'s brand new car nearly gets swamped. If they had of thought about it, I bet they would have :D

we alwayts wanted the pictures marc (or the BRAND NEW RAV LOL) but you never gave us them :( ....... lol can`t blame ya though :) :) :)

Hi Ling Basher,
To answer your question; there is probably going to be around 90 berths in the Seaham north dock depending on the interest shown. If you are even remotely interested, send you name and address to Norman Conn Email - [email protected] and he will keep you informed of progress. Trailer boats cost £12 to join the club plus £50 a year to launch. A Yearly SEAcheck is free but we give a £10 donation to the RNLI for each boat. You must have a valid SEAcheck and insurance to launch. With the new Headquartes of the Seaham Sea Angling club to be in the Dock area the membership has now reached the biggest club in the country status with around 480 members. The Seaham Boat club has 32 boat owners and 37 ordinary members and still growing. Check the website www.seahamharbourboatclub.co.uk and take a look at a couple of photo\'s from this years catches.
The Weather has been poor but when we could get out :D

trailing a boat is hard work, and of course you have to rely on others to help launch and recover, i surpose by the time all things are considered like changing your car etc it shows what good value a marina is, however when you consider how much everything costs compared on the amount of times you can use the boat ( especially this year ) its cheaper booking a charter boat................not as much fun or convienient though
