Seaham Last night

Fished the Chems yesterday for a few hours up to high water, was gonna stay into the dark, but was plagued by velvets every cast. When using a 2 hook pennel rig managed a velvet on both hooks, so decided to save some bait and try a different location today.
The guy fishing next to me had a little coalie of around 15 cm.

I will probably try Seaham South pier tonight, was gonna go on yesterday, but seemed very windy and didint fancy been blown all over.
No wind today so will get meself on the pier about 5:30 this evening.

Yer alot of Velvets at Shields on Sunday, must have had 1 every other cast. What we need is some nice big cod to come and eat the lot of them
