It's been a while since there's been any news on the progress, anyone got any news...:question:

Good luck to them working out there, i was down the Royal Quays today for 2 hours and it was bloody cold with that wind. 5 months and counting

ive not really been down there so much the last couple of months, but there has been no progress from what i can see since lumsden and carroll finished down there.
There is work being carried out at the top of the docks by the council.
The 3 remaining commercial boats are currently using the marina, but are moored up on the far wall rather than on the pontoons.
Posted on the seaham north dock website :
Works will commence at the north dock entrance on 10/10/11, this will iclude groundworks with new paving between Marquess Point and onto the marina access road. At a later stage, the contractors will remove the high green fencing and create an open area onto the grassed area with a new set of double gates installed at the top of the access road.
Please note that there may be some disruption to pedestrian and vehicle access to the dock and pier during these works however we will endeavour to maintain access as much as possible.
Tenders to complete the remaining marina works (as stated below) have now been completed and we await information on the selected contractor and start date. The final marina improvements are estimated to take no longer than 4 months.
