fished the mark last night, 7 till 1.30am. there was 7 of us, good big tide on a dyeing sea, couple of the lads further down the pier were managing a couple of small codling up to a pound.
me and a other few lads were on the drum, not much happening apart from one fish i landed which was 3lb.
I was the first to head home so not sure if they got out on the flood.
pretty poor considering the conditions, but always hit and miss this time of year:rolleyes:

hope the comp produces a few fish, but for me, that session last night reflected that there is not much about now, even on a dyeing sea.

might go up my favourite mark, cullernose pt tommoro night for one last hoy of the dice:confused: or might just head for the pub:D

just going off years ago the drum head was always a flood tide mark only always very poor on ebb for me. featherebed rock used to get a few fish this time of the year and now you have the chance of a bass there.

yea marra, ive always had the best fishing on the flood too. wasnt stopping till dawn thats all.
apparently another lad had 3 on the flood after i left, only small.
