Me and our Jackson headed for seaham pier last night to do
a bit scratching and spinning we got down there about 6pm
and fished till 12.30am. We started off spinning for the first
hour and picked up a few good size macky.

Then we set up the scratching rods with 2 hook flappers we
never had much luck on them till it cam in dark then it was
whiting after whiting then they went off.

So for a bit off fun we set up the spinning rods and dropped them
down the side to see if we could wangle any fish out for the specie
hunt and all we got were these fella's

All in all a nice night out with a few fish.

Looks like you got your timing just about right Eddie. Not like me, I got a flyer from work yesterday and headed for the pier. I'd been on there 10 minutes when the storm hit and 2 minutes later I was soaked to the skin.

Made for a very soggy drive back to Durham, and of course by the time I got home the sun was out and it turned into a lovely evening.
