Comp was fished Sunday 21/1/18 between 1400hrs and 1900hrs in a strong South East wind with rain snow sleet and whatever else is left. Conditions were shocking for 76 hardy Anglers.
Most competitors chose to battle the elements on the pier, with a few on the Blast beach and Hendon prom.
Everyone knew that it was going to be hard fishing when over the last few days, a large shoal of small herring have been present along the pier drum !!!! Giving the fish as much feed as they want.
With a few Anglers calling it a day early on, Tony (The Chef) Haswell found a suicidal codling along with a whiting to take the honours for the day from peg 16.
Only 9 Anglers weighed in a grand total of 10 fish !!!!!!
RESULT..
1st T Haswell 2 fish for 1.86lb
2nd D Turnbull 1 fish for 1.38lb H/F
3rd JR Clark 1 fish for 1.10lb
4th N Smith 1 fish for 0.62lb
5th A Simpson 1 fish for 0.54lb

Role on in a fortnights time....Real Fish...Real Conditions...NORWAY !!!!!!!
