fished the south pier. big swells rolling round, excellent conditions over high water.

not a sniff, even the crabs are off chasing sandeels

advise people to pack in until the next stir up which shouldnt be long

Same here Dean fished the pit shot 12 till 5 in the Golden roll over and managed a small flounder used yellows, blacks, crab and snake whites lol.
Anyone know what won it?

Nothing was weighed in andy, 18 people fished and all blanked. The conditions were near perfect, shows how hard it is atm. The prizes were drawn out the hat rather than a re-fish date, winnners will be posted by seaham angling club.

I,ve never heard of this sandeel thing. I did here one tale Herring spawn was to blame for the lack of fish.

Must be the biggest group of sandeels ever then. Hartlepool to beadnell nearly 100miles worth of sandeels offshore/inshore..

Bad luck Dean mate. Tried the Northy, Noses and Hartlepool sat night without a fish. One good slacker all night which I lost when the line broke about ten foot from my tip!!
