Hi All.

Off to Seahouses new week for a few days. Can anyone give me a few hints and tips on where to fish and where not to? Is the harbour open to the odd fishing rod? Cheers

Head for the outer south wall of the harbour and the ground behind. Rough - deep water - kelp beds what more could you ask for ? Oh yes fish tight lines mate and good luck.

Hadji we are up for a week in the caravan soon. Been going now for a few years. I have tried few methods but prefer to just float fish these days in the haarbour area for wrasse or small coalies.
Mind if i went for a proper days fishing with a bag of bait and all of my stuff it would be off the rocks as the lads say. I have seen the locals fishing round there.
Mick. ps this hol i,m going to chuck my chesties in and some poppers/spinners-gunna give it a good go for some bass.

hi as advised fish the small outer pier cast slightly left on the end towards main farne isle aqbout 80 yards, fished the mark many times, last year had 3 red coddling 3,4 & 5 lbs, best conditions are flat calm 3hrs up to high tide,be aware if the sea is rough dont go near.
the rocks also fish well in calm conditions but be prepared to lose some tackle, crab lug and rag seem to do the buisness was there a couple of weeks ago but was unfishable waves engulfing the whole of the pier.
if you fish the harbour watch out for the local numpties jumping off the peir they seem to have no respect for anyone effing and blinding etc.

If you want a change from Seahouses, it's only a short trip down to Beadnel. There are plenty of marks to choose from. I have found the best is to park at the bottom of Harbour Road, walk between the houses and turn right. Follow the rocks along to the end and get a line in there.
