Micky the best way to fish most beaches is to go down at low water and look for holes or features then make mental reference points ,come back during darkness with the tide flooding or sometimes ebbing and do your best to hit the target , this seems to work well for clean beaches anyway mate. Lugworm always seems to fish well on those beaches but I have had some nice fish on rag and squid although I do think they went for the worm.

Best way to tell mate is to go down (if you can) at low tide...the beach changes all the time with the tides 
...look for various holes etc that will fill up and provide fishy type hot spots when the tide advances...

Best fish I've seen from the shore was landed there ,helped the bloke get it in ,11lb what a belter ,my best only 5.5 lb well from there anyway ,had some mad sport with 19 whiting in a few hours as well ,also other species.

The tides are right for you to fish there Fri 21:24 Sat 22:46 but I have just had a look at the webcams and it looks a bit on the flat side. If the sea comes away a bit yes but I think you might be wasting your time Micky. That said there is always a chance of the odd Whiting. As the lads have said it is much better to have a look down first and see where the holes and gullies are as this is one of the best marks on Blyth beach IMHO.

The beach'll fish mate - it's all down to what you want to catch
If you're after Cod etc then you'll need a big sea, but I'm trying for flatties later and I see no reason why I won't catch one (except I prob won't)

Used to fish there, pretty much opposite the Astley Arms pub, but I've not been along for a few years and if the sands have moved around with any big tides it can really change that beach. As others have said it's best to get down on a daytime low tide for a look around. Beach was always usually pretty steep a-drop from about the Fountain Head bank roundabout for quite a distance towards Blyth. We also found on a high tide that there was no need to belt the bait miles out.

Yep 5150 ,no need at all at high tide mate ,just drop your bait over the ledge of sand .

I hear what you're saying mate - but it's a two hour round trip and I fancy going out tonight after me tea...
I'm def' pencilling in the mark for a future reccie tho'...I've got one days holiday (before Xmas) left this year, I may spend it fishing
