i will be out fishing this coming saturday and sunday, so i would like some help as where to go, all i want is a mark( no more than 30 seconds walk from car) where i will never lose any gear, no more than my maximum 40 yard cast, sheltered no matter which direction the wind blows, and will give up cod in the six to ten pounds range at any state of the tide untill i get sick of catching them. as i fully expect to be informed of dozens of such venues i thank you in advance for your help.

I can recommend a local mark called Dunstanburgh Castle.
Park your car at Craster, hop over the fence and you're there.
You'll be fishing onto a sandy bottom, so you only need a light set-up, and no more than 15lb line.

When you put your bait on the hooks, turn your back on the sea so the cod can't see it and leap at you to get at it.

Guaranteed to catch many, many cod, all over 5lb, and always in daylight.

Cheer's tonyfromalnwick,
iv'e been fishing up there for years without much success, with your piece of advice;) i now know were i've been going wrong:rolleyes:.thanks mate. ;)

there are literally thousands and thousands of marks just like you asked for all along our coastline, teeming with 10 lbs plus cod, but it's a big secret, known only to us on this site, to unlock the secret you have to answer 3 questions, 1, are you from this planet, 2, do you like to fantasize and 3, you are joking ,aren't you.

Lol Cheapskate, I think it's an excellent question mate :D :D I really wish I could honestly tell you of a mark like that, but you never know We are out tomorrow night and if it's like that for us I'll guarrantee you will be waiting in the dozens to fish it on Saturday night :D :D :D

You could tell it was a joke, it came across to arrogant not to be a joke... Are you in some way physically disabled as such you can't walk to far from your car? Unfortunatly such places where your gonna catch 12-15lb fish all day long is as they say dreamland lol.

If you are looking for spots with easy access then try this stick thread.

no mate i'm not disabled, but wife is, she sometimes comes with me when i go to the customs house so she can sit in the car and watch for a while.

Cheapskate, as Carl says there are quite a few marks on there where you could fish from the car if your wife wants to come with you. If you ever want any info on any of those marks please just drop me a PM and I'll help as much as I can. I have a lot of walking difficulties now and some of those places are ideal for me to sit by my car.
