I put the boat up for sale on EBAY last night, and got 80 views and 9 watchers after 14 hours :)....Can you read anything into this :confused:.....is it a good sign :rolleyes:, or just bored wannbe boat owners....:D:D

Anybody sold a boat on EBAY before, what was the experience like...:question:

I had a lad coming to view it tmoro, from the other fishing forum...;), so i got it out the water, all pressure washed, 3 coats of polish ( again ).......then you guessed it.....text to say he's not coming :rolleyes: .....still.....The Jester looks nice and clean....:)

You'll get loads of watchers and loads of stupid dreamers mate, sold my motorhome a couple of months back and people were cheaky enough to offer half what it was worth.
 
Its still very much a buyers market, and yes you will get lots of silly offers but maybe a genuine person will come along.

I sold one on there and did very well

Put our other boat on eBay chris, had a stack of watchers on it and sold it to one of them. There will be at least a few genuine people who will want to buy it pal.
 
I've bought and sold quite a few things on Ebay Chris, some people will only put a bid on something they want only at the last minute before the auction ends, some put a bid on straight away just to get a "feel" to see if there are many interested parties. Then there are your total time wasters, but when you put a boat on as good as yours, you should sell it no bother mate, just sit tight, most of the action will probably happen in the last ten minutes.

I have found Gumtree, another sight, you can sell things at a fixed price, and doesn't cost you a penny, so what you sell it at is what you'll get.
 
Funny place ebay like think i told you before when i put my boat on same kinda experiance as yours tons of watchers then the daft messages but as said there is some gen people out there mate

Look at it this way Chris the more watchers the better,the time to worry is when there are no watches.Best of luck.

I love e-bay and have bought and sold loads of things. Biggest was my Nissan x trial couple of year ago. Couple of dealers came round and beat me down to 500 less than I wanted but we went up to the bank and cash was put into my account. I have bought loads of items and with paypal u are covered.
If someone wants your boat they will bid.

Well set out advert and pics, clean tidy boat and as new engine.

Should sell no bother.

Wise move putting it for uk sales only, less scammers wanting you to send it off to Africa and the like :D

second hand boats can be money pits spend spend unless ya have plenty cash if ya have gud money buy from new when ya get bored sell on simples pay some one else to take ya out ya will have no worrys lol :D
