the sea is massive mate! i've surfed shields beach for 10 years now and today is one of those days when all the surfers stand there look and say, "F#@k that! its a white out! anyone checked Seaburn". I'm ne expert but i think you'll struggle to hold the ground today mate!

cheers for that mate i might just go along the walkway or try inside the harbour from the first gate.

well went down to shields little beach on friday night. was going to try the long beach but sea was too big, even so every cast off the beach resulted in huge mounds of weed lost a lot of gear (off the beach) after an hour of back breaking winding in, went onto the groyne casting striaght out into the harbour not one bite, couldnt beleive it the sea was perfect was using lug, squid, razor and mackerel in a variety of different cocktails. will be trying down seaham during the week hopefully will catch something.
