Severe Weather Warning Thursday/Friday

Take heed lads.....No fish is worth risking your life for. Gauge the risks and wether it's worth it before you venture out onto a mark. Let someone know exactly where you are going and what time you expect to be back............ALWAYS RESPECT THE SEA.

Well said.

Common sense should be applied...as of today we are only at 20% Risk of disruption...there is no need for panic in the streets just yet :o

If it looks iffy don't fish it :exclam:

Not really a case of panic, but for every 20-30 waves there may be one rogue one, that's enough to take you off your feet. Sunday night for example I was fishing up at Howick where it was flat calm apart from the first 40 yards out where there was only a slight swell and in no way did iI feel at risk 20 yards back from the waters edge when all of a sudden a big wave shot in and came up to just above my knees. Needless to say I moved back another 20 yards, but who's to say I would have been given that second chance if I'd lost me footing in panic at the first wave. Fortunately there were no more during the course of the evening, but since when was the sea predictable?
