Shadding still all the rage in late november

Very strange fishing at the moment.

Its end of November and the sea temperature is still at over 11C. The inshore waters are dirty up to 6 nautical miles and more (especially up here where we have 3 rivers supplying us with dirt and fertilisers from Northumberland, Durham and Yorkshire !!)

I was seriously considering going out to 12 miles, but I was all alone on my boat and opted not to.


2 weeks ago I caught myself silly on a 4 mile wreck and yesterday the sea came across like poisoned.

My friends in Cape Town report similar things...water too cold for the season (mind its early summer down there), water dirty, no sardines, tunas 100 miles offshore

Still fishing its nutts off for how can only be depending till we get a big northerly the water is extremly clear out there at the moment one boat had a mackeral thursday mada aint it doesnt happen to often for more or less going into decemebr but i have know it happen a few times beofre great to see.
