Bert Kieth Les, and myself, slipped the moorings about 4.30am and with Keith at the helm we headed out the piers and into a big shoal of mackerel (about time) .
Norman and Tony , Team Slinky came alongside and shared their breakfast, cheers boys, before going their own way.
Bert got over the wrecks and into fish straight away, (as he does) with all of them being between 4 and 9lb also we had a couple of small Ling and the usual scotchies. before calling it a day at about 11 ish.

Thanks Bert Keith & Les for a great day afloat, oh almost forgot, well done Les on catching all those Invisible fish :D

cheers lads, loose lips sink ships, ok the daylights a pulled in from a wreck last year went straight in me tackle box and a thought ,'al use these up first ! unbeknown to me the rust had rotted through the buisness end, so as soon as the first mackerel took them , the hooks snapped, leaving the daylights with no hooks on , hence the **** take, a would tell you about the dead ling a caught , but thats another story , big thank you to bert , keith and jim were ok too, and norman for wor brekkie !

haha les, trying to get in early about fishing with flashy bits and no hooks .... just before anyone else takes the pisi :) :) :) great story though (although point les s) :)

Good crack lads. No hooks at first,:rolleyes:mind, I did sea a fishing program fishing for marlin where the stringy bits wrapped round the bill of the fish to catch them, maybe that was your idea to give it a go.;):D

You had to be there to get how funny it was !
Les was first in the water after the mack for bait and instantly he says there hitting my gear so there here !! Keith was in Jim was in and i was still setting up ! Keith again then jim again but not Les !! "my hooks must be too big " was the cry , by this time i`m set up and in the water and instantly a hookup . . come on les its not like you not to get some mackerel !! "must be the wrong colour or something" i can feel them hitting but there not taking the hook ............er let me correct you les they did take the hook or rather hooks ....ha ha
You should have seen his face when he reeled in to change his gear because his was the wrong colour and the hooks were tooooo big !
pointless fishing ! all that was on was rubber heads and tinsel .great stuff and we prommised to keep it too our selves,,,,and we have :) ish
