I'm shattered after picking the lads up at 3.0am
so I'll just post a quick report.
Bert, Kenny, Kyle & myself this morning, we were probably out the piers for a about 3.30am and headed straight to last weeks hot spot. Sadly the fish weren't playing so we headed to the next wreck where we started picking up a few fish, well Bert did, amongst them this nice doubler
After a few more wrecks Bert decided we should try the hot spot again, as before there was nothing much directly on the wreck but as we drifted off BANG!! They're here!! Not as prolific as last week and we couldn't escape mackeral with daylites or other lures so it was either a pirk or a shad and even then the mackeral kept jumping on. We plugged away till about midday every now and then hitting a purple patch, the fish seemed to be there but not in a feeding frenzy like last week when most fish spat out herring sprats.
The total catch for the morning between the four of us was 76 cod, 4 ling and the usual other stuff.
A big THANK YOU as always to Bert for another cracking morning
I'll be thinking of you lads next Saturday as lie (probably hungover) on my sun lounger
